Looking forward to North West titles
Round six of the Karratha Netball Association was played on Monday and Tuesday, June 13 and 14.
Tequiras one still remain undefeated, after a narrow, three point win over Sierras one.
Mel Thompson for Tequiras one and Sarah Gravestock of Sierras one were both influential players throughout the game.
Defender, Kelly Munro of Thunderbolts one worked hard in defence, but Cougars shooters had an eye for accuracy.
Tequiras one defeated Sierras one 36-33 and Cougars one defeated Thunderbolts one 46-35.
In division A2 Karratha Storm one defeated Tequiras three 55-33, Cougars two defeated Sierras two 50-27 while Blades one defeated Tequiras two 51-39.
In division B1 Tequiras five defeated Sunset Phoenix 47-34, Tequiras four defeated Sierras three 29-22 and Blades two defeated Cougars three 54-33.
In division C1 Thunderbolts two had a bye, Tequiras defeated Gems 35-14, Blades three defeated Karratha Storm two 48-39 and Cougars four defeated Rockets 33-18.
And in division C2 Tequiras seven defeated Voodoos 43-18 and Cougars five defeated Tequiras eight 40-11.
Also, The North West Netball Region (NWNR) is proud to announce Summit North West as their major sponsor of the 2011 NWC in Karratha hence the name change to Summit North West Netball Championships.
NWNR has also been able to secure funding from Woodside as a minor sponsor of the event.
So head down to the Netball North West Championships at the Karratha netball courts on Saturday and Sunday, June 18 and 19 with representative teams from Karratha, Hedland, Tom Price, Newman, Broome, Paraburdoo and Derby..
Games started on Saturday at 7.30am and the finals are played on Sunday mid morning.
