The Shire of Ashburton has recognised National Reconciliation Week by flying the Aboriginal flag at its Tom Price office.
Receptionists Karen Tonkin and Kimberlee Kite hoisted the flag on May 31, inviting community members to consider how they could be a part of bridging the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.
National Reconciliation Week ran from May 27 to June 3 with the theme of Let’s Talk Recognition.
