Hedland triathletes on the move
The Pilbara Echo’s number one journalist Courtney Bertling delivered an inspirational lecture to the St Luke’s College specialist sport program students on Wednesday as part of their quest to become the next great sports writers in town.
Sharing her education, experience and expertise with the year 10 group, Bertling, CB to her new found team mates, showed the group all the tricks and traps of journalism and in particular, sports writing.
The session finished with the students demonstrating their skills with an article encapsulating what they had learned with the products indicating that a new group of contributors to the Echo are not far from earning their right to become a published writer.
CB will mentor the group over the next weeks and after a follow up session, we should see a new group of sports writers spreading their love and passion of their sport.
