Kick Starter pays off
Life and Soul finished up their recent 12 week New Year’s Kick Starter Challenge on Saturday, March 31 with local Kelly Bevan becoming $1000 richer thanks to her determination.
The challenge is designed by Life and Soul Gym to get people fit, healthy and confident after the Christmas break.
“I was overweight and felt I needed to do something and it had to be something I was accountable to,” Kelly said.
“I didn’t eat properly and I was scared to come to the gym because I thought everyone was so beautiful I would look out of place or be stared at.
“But that’s not the case, everyone is focused on getting their own results.
“No-one cares what you look like. They are all here for their own reasons.”
Kelly said the challenge was worth every cent of her membership as it put her in a position to see the changes.
“The staff are so friendly and they make it easier to walk in the door,” she said,
“I love the atmosphere. Everything is just so wonderful.”
She said that anyone considering doing one of the challenges, to do it.
“It puts you in a better place physically and mentally and it will change your life,” she said.
“Since joining the gym I am in a better place mentally.
“I am more physical, I have more get up and go and I have learnt to make good nutritional choices.
“I have gained not only physical but also psychological health benefits.
The staff here will keep me coming back for sure and I know I have extended my life.”
The 12-week New Year’s Kick Starter Challenge on Saturday was sponsored by Pilbara Real Estate.
