Play is the way children are introduced to the world they live in.

Through imaginative play children are able to try new things, practise skills and develop individual and social structures.

Karratha Community House Playgroups provide a model environment for early childhood development through play.

With fun and enjoyment at the forefront, your child will benefit from learning simple rules and routines as well as new games and play experiences!

Through interacting with other children and responding to different adults, children will develop stronger social and communication skills.

Playgroups are not only designed to benefit children.

By joining a Karratha Community House Playgroup you will meet other local parents and share invaluable information and experiences, often resulting in long lasting friendships.

It is a terrific opportunity for you to become a part of the local community and develop a strong network of support with other members.

Most importantly, playgroup is an environment for you and your children to have fun together.

Also at the Karratha Community House is Baby Rhymes.

Do you have a baby aged from zero to 12months?

Then why not come along and join Baby Rhymes, to sing all your favourite nursery rhymes with your baby.

The Baby Rhymes program is aimed at children under one.

Babies and their parents participate in singing songs, active and sensory play as well as baby massage.

The session runs for ten weeks (during term) with each session lasting one hour.

Every Tuesday, session one begins at 11am and session two begins at 12pm and only costs $8 per family.

For more information and memberships please contact Karratha Community House on 9185 6605 or via email info@karrathacommunityhouse.org.au
