The crew out the front of Roebourne Police Station

Last Wednesday police officers from the Roebourne Police Station organised a sausage sizzle fundraiser with all the proceeds being donated to the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Locals from all over Roebourne went along and enjoyed a tasty sausage and an ice cold cool drink.
The afternoon was a great success and the station managed to raise a grand total of $553.20.
Organiser Jodie Smith was very pleased with the event.
“The RFDS are a not-for-profit organisation that provides such a vital service, we are happy to support them any way we can” she said.
Karen Bell, the Pilbara Regional Road Safety Officer, was there to promote the road wise message. In particular the importance of not driving while tired.
“Fatigue can be a killer behind the wheel and it is important to get that message out there”  she said.
Karen had lots of cool packs to give to all the kids and adults that attended the sausage sizzle.
A big thanks to everyone who came out to help support a worthy cause.
