 The team from Life and Soul Fitness Club The state finalists for the 2009 GWN WA Regional Small Business Awards (WARSBA) were announced on the 16th of October by the WA Small Business Development Corporation.
Winners of the 2009 Karratha District Chamber of Commerce and Industry Business Excellence awards were nominated for the WA Regional Small Business Awards. Judges selected three Karratha based businesses as a finalist in this years WARSB awards. McLaren Hire, Karratha are competing in the 5-10 Employees Category, Life and Soul Health and Fitness Club are competing in the 10-20 Employees Category and Civil Road and Rail SX5 are up for an award in the Indigenous Business Category. Small Business Development Corporation Managing Director, Stephen Moir, says the calibre of entrants in this year’s awards is extremely high and choosing the finalists was a difficult job. “We had a record number of entries from around the State this year so these finalists are the cream of the crop,” Mr Moir said. “The process of entering competitions like this can be very beneficial to a business, giving applicants the opportunity to take a close look at their business.” The WA Regional Small Business Awards are being held in Perth on the 6th of November will highlight the best of the best Regional Small Businesses. "The WARSBA contest is the most exciting business awards program in Western Australia” Mr Moir said. It is fantastic to have finalists from all over the state including the Pilbara” he added.
