Lights comp now one of brightest in country |

Last week team Echo announced that there was $5000 cash up for grabs in our Christmas Lights Competition, now Horizon Power has also jumped on board to boost the prize pool to $6000.
With the extra prize money, each entrant will have the chance to win up to $3000, making it one of the largest single cash prizes for a Christmas Lights Competition this year. The overall first place winner in the Karratha /Dampier zone will collect $2000 in prize money, the runner up in this zone will receive $500. Entrants in the Roebourne/ Wickham/ Point Samson zone also have the chance to win $2000 for the best overall entry and runners up will collect $500. $1000 is now also up for grabs in the Horizon Powers Peoples Choice award. The 2009 Pilbara Echo Christmas Lights competition is the first time that the Echo, Woodside and Horizon Power have banded together to sponsor a shire-wide competition. To enter the 2009 Christmas Lights competition go online to www.pilbaraecho.com.au or drop by the office to collect an entry form and terms and conditions. All entries must be received by the 9th of December 2009. The competition will be judged on December 13th 2009, the winners will be notified on December the 15th and the results will be published in the Pilbara Echo on December 19th. |
