Tambrey Primary School held a "Balloon Car Challenge" last Friday.  

Students were asked to design a car powered by a balloon, as part of a whole school learning activity in Technology and Enterprise.  
Students were given 2 weeks to design, build and test their cars which culminated in a special event on Friday, where the semi finals and grand finals were run.  
(The last photo shows winners in junior, intermediate and senior categories).  
Mrs Borlase (year 6/7 teacher) said "this was a great opportunity for all students to practice and develop their problem solving skills and brought the school community together at what is traditionally a very busy time of the year."
The feedback from all the students involved was very positive, all the children thoroughly enjoying themselves.
The day also coincided with Crazy Hair Day which was organised to help raise funds for the year 7 graduation.
