West Australian Senators Michaelia Cash, Chris Back and Mathias Cormann visited Karratha earlier this week for a two-day tour of the Shire of Roebourne.

On Tuesday, the group travelled to Roebourne to visit the Juluwarlu Aboriginal Corporation and the Roebourne Art Group, followed by a tour of Woodside’s Pluto Project and finally a Civic Reception at the Shire of Roebourne for 30 invited guests.
On Wednesday, the group did a walking tour of the Burrup Peninsula to view Aboriginal Rock Art, followed by a fly-over of major resource projects, including Citic Pacific’s Cape Preston operations, and a charter of the Dampier Archipelago to view the site of the proposed Dampier marina.
