On the 27th June, the Dampier Foreshore was host to the Pilbara Multicultural Association Sundowner.

Spending Sunday afternoons under the Palms at Dampier watching the tide drift out at Sunset is one of the pleasures of living in the west Pilbara.
Add a Bouncing Castle, a trailer filled with games, free ice creams and a feast of foods from many nations, and you’ll have a truly wonderful afternoon.
The afternoon was organised by long time Pilbara resident and PMA committee member, Sergio De Guzman, who arrived from the Philippines more than 30 years ago.
Sergio truly believes that those of us living here, live in paradise.
His first words to newcomers, are always, “Welcome to Paradise”, and after a gentle, friendly afternoon beneath the Dampier palms, the families and singles from 13 different cultural backgrounds who met new friends, relaxed, played, chatted, and delighted in the very Australian atmosphere of our Pilbara coast and sunset, no doubt agree with him.
More events are planned throughout the year, including a Bollywood Extravaganza!
