The wind and rain certainly didn’t stop any fans from going to see The Beautiful Girls perform live at the Mermaid Hotel, Dampier on Sunday 4th July.

The night began with a support act from singer Megan Washington on the piano.
Megan normally plays with her band named ‘Washington’ but went solo for the night.
She played some of her most well-known songs including her latest single ‘Rich Kids’, ‘How To Tame Lions’ and ‘Clementine’.
It was then time for The Beautiful Girls to take to the stage and opened with their new current single 10:10 which the audience clearly weren’t disappointed about.
During the performance The Beautiful Girls played a variety of old songs and a few from their new album Spooks including ‘Running’, ‘Gratitude’ and an acoustic version of ‘After All This Time’.
Everyone in the audience was dancing to their dub and reggae style music and undoubtably enjoyed the music from their new album which I think we can now expect to see in many people’s CD collection in the Pilbara.
As the set came to an end, the band were persuaded to come back for an EnCore and played an acoustic version of ‘Periscope’.
The night may have been cold but no-one seemed to care once The Beautiful Girls were playing.
If you missed it, you missed out.
