Remet Pereira settling into his new office Pilbara TAFE Training Solutions has welcomed the arrival of Mechanical Engineer and Design Drafter, Remet Pereira, with open arms.
Remet, who hails from South Australia, is launching Auto CAD classes at Pilbara TAFE so locals can get a taste of technical drawing without flying all the way to Perth. “My first love is Mechanical Engineering but I have specialist skills in high tech 3D CAD/CAM/CNC, which teach concept design, drafting and manufacturing,” Remet explains. “For Engineers wanting to advance in their careers or take a training pathway towards Design Drafting, these courses are essential and ensure you’re on the cutting edge of technology.” With such a wealth of experience, Remet is keen to share his skills with the Karratha community. “The first introductory course is three months and teaches 2D sketches and 3D part modelling for the mechanical design of products, tooling and jigs,” he explains. “Participants will need Maths skills and a background in Engineering such as a Diploma or apprenticeship because the content is very technical and covers geometry as well as drawing annotations.” “Once you’ve completed this first course, however, you’ll want to enrol in the intermediate one because the modelling is so complex and fascinating. Before you know it, you’ll be designing mechanical components from concept through to creation!” Director of Karratha Campus Bill McDonald is delighted to have Remet on board as a lecturer. “It’s a great bonus for the TAFE and the region to have a professional who can teach CAD drawing since these skill sets are in such demand Australia-wide.” “Remet’s classes will prove extremely popular so if you want to enrol, you better contact the Karratha campus quickly to reserve your place for July!” |
