Friday 9th July brought a little excitement to Dampier Oval.

But this time it wasn't about Cricket or Footy, but voices, guitars and relaxation - the Twilight Tunes.
The NAIDOC week event took place at the Dampier Oval and quite a few braved the windy and cold weather and turned the usually sporty oval into a sea of blankets and camping chairs.
Eskies were brought a plenty and the local ice cream truck was present, despite hot drinks would have been a better sale this night.
Junction Road started off the event with a few songs before local acts Hemi Hinaki and Dakota Tahi from Roebourne each performed some acoustic cover versions on the moodily lit stage.
Then the time was right for the main act; Broome's own Pigram Brothers (pictured right), to take the stage.
The seven musical brothers started their show with their hit Barefoot Kid and with that got everyone's toes tapping.
The nationwide acclaimed and successful band has come to fame through it’s mix of country folk and rock tunes and has won numerous awards and prices, with the Deadly Award and ARIA Music Award being the highlights of their career.
The refreshingly varied audience was excited to hear more and the Pigrim Brothers didn't disappoint them, unwrapping hits from their four albums, ‘Under the Mango Tree’ being the most recent one.
People had shuffled in from all corners of the Pilbara and everyone had a great time winding down to the tunes sung by local talents and WA icons.
