Karratha surveying company named WA Business Award |

 The Handley family A Karratha business that provides surveying services to major infrastructure expansion projects in the Pilbara region has won one of the top honours in the 2010 Telstra Western Australian Business Awards.
Family-owned and operated Handley Surveys was announced on the 20th July as winner of the Panasonic Australia Medium Business Award at the 18th Telstra WA Business Awards.
Established by licensed surveyor Henry Handley as a sole-operator business in 1976, Handley Surveys has won a reputation for excellence in precision surveying and for a faultless health and safety record while working in extreme conditions on major projects in the north-west of WA.
Since moving to WA in 2000, the business has grown steadily, attracting resources industry clients, employing 28 full time staff and reaching an annual turnover of $8 million.
Telstra Country Wide WA North Area General Manager, Tony Carmichael, said that the success of Handley Surveys was not only a great recognition of the company’s achievements, solid business strategies and potential to continue its current growth, but also a positive advertisement for the Karratha small and medium business community.
Handley Surveys Director Henry Handley said the company viewed winning the Panasonic Australia Medium Business Award as an acknowledgement of achievement from its business peers and an eye opener to future business opportunities that could exist for the company.
The winners of the Western Australian Awards will now be judged against the category winners from other states and territories in the lead up to the national Telstra Business Awards to be announced in Sydney on 20th August.
Winners of the 2010 Telstra Business Awards receive a share of $400,000 in cash and prizes and become part of an exclusive national business alumni. |
