The Woolies Sticker campaign has paid off for local Port Hedland kids with an array of books and games awarded to Port Hedland Primary School.
Port Hedland Primary School teacher Julie Brown organised the school’s involvement in the competition.
The Earn and Learn program rewarded the students after they collected one sticker for every $10 spent at Woolworths and stuck them onto claim sheets. The school then claimed resources.
“Through the program we were able to create guided reading sets of books for all of the different year groups,” Julie said.
“[This] means that students will have good literature that will help to support the implementation of the Australian curriculum.
“The whole school took part and there was a box placed out the front of Woollies for the general public to support the school too.”
